Shri M. C. Omi Ningshen, IRS, Managing Director, North East Cane and Bamboo Development Council, Burnihat (Assam) along with Dr. T. C. Bhuyan, Consultant visited ICFRE-Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat (Assam) on 10 June, 2025. Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, Director welcomed the dignitaries with traditional Phulam Gamosa. Discussion on wide range of issues, particularly on bamboo was held during their visit to the Institute. Later, they visited Tissue Culture Laboratory, Bamboo Nursery and Bamboo Museum cum Interpretation Centre of the Institute. Sri R. K. Kalita, Head, Extension Division and Dr. Satyam Bordoloi, Head, Genetics and Tree Improvement Division guided the dignitaries during their visit to the labs and facilities.
